US President Donald Trump has shown the way. By putting a wall around the borders and with his ‘America First’ paradigm he has shown the way to a new world order. Both allies and rivals are shaken.
Take Japan: the media is unambiguous on Japan’s fear of the US distancing itself from this former ‘perfect friend’ by imposing trade restrictions. That will work to much the larger benefit the US and leave Japan trailing in the field of exports to America, the primary base of the country’s economy.
China has already been openly targeted. This has caused huge waves with European nations, like Germany, apprehensive they could be next on the list.
The UK is the process of opting out of the EU to remain a satellite of the US and this puts a spoke in the wheels of a United Europe standing in the way of the emerging American Empire.
But the European elections have shown there is some resistance to the old guard. Albeit some of it is sponsored to keep rivals at bay with he push for nationalism, as in the case of Italy and some eastern European states.
This marks the emergence of American colonialism with the map clearly drawn for a compliant Europe, an Israeli subdued Middle East, leaving a passive India as the one unpredictable factor in the trans-Atlantic racist woodpile.
